History Established in 1985. Torii restaurant is a family own business and is located in Modesto. Our goal to our costumers is to create a fun environment were all ages are welcomed. The owner of torri's Mei has been the owner for more then 20 years. We offer a full bar, sushi bar , and karaoke at our restaurant. Fun and Yum One of the first (if not the first) restaurant in Modesto where the chefs cook right in front of you. They flip the shrimp on your plate, clack the knives and just in general, make the whole dining experience fun. Their sushi is superb and they have a full bar. This is a great place when you've got a group eating together.
BEST RESTAURANT! It has the best food, they cook in front of you, great service, and has a karaoke bar to listen to while waiting for your seat or you can even join in yourself. I recommend this place to anyone. Great for a date, family dinner, birthdays, or just a weekly dinner.
Modestans have always known the best place for sushi to be Torri Restaurant. This family oriented and friendly restaurant brings it all to the table; great food, friendly people, great customer service and the atmosphere is the best. Don't forget the great cocktails and best Karaoke entertainer in town. Just don't take it from me....try it for yourself...you won't be sorry.....A+++++++++
Fun place with good food I love this restaurant. it's atmosphere is great and the food is even better. They cook in front of you and the chef's are super friendly and get you involved in the dinner. if you don't have a big party you'll probably be sharing a table with strangers but its not a problem. The prices are a bit high ($15-$20) but the food is well worth it and you get plenty of it.

fun for the family – I think the service was okay. The food was okay. The flicking of food in the mouth was pretty cool. The minute my 10 year old found out about the karoake, she wanted to sing. My husband had to bribe them to let her sing, before the normal hour for karoake. If you have been to Ichiban in Reno or another location...this is low budget! For a local place, I think it is okay & the price is about right.

Good Japanese restaurant – Torri's is a busy place, so be sure to make reservations. You basically seat yourself, so as people leave you have to hurry to get a seat or it'll be taken. There's karoke after 7 pm. The bar has a good atmosphere. There's also a place in the back that you can watch the chefs make your meals, but I didn't get to see it. It's very small and also somewhat expensive prices, but the food was pretty good.
