The most shocking service I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing. A child told them at 9 she wanted to end her life. Their reply, “that’s normal we all feel like that sometimes”. She told them she heard voices. Their reply, “we all have voices they are our thoughts”. So sad this service is available to people of Torbay. We met with Dr Russel Scullion. He hadn't read any of our notes, the numerous questionnaires we completed for them, or the referral before our long awaited appointment. Weeks have gone by now and still no feedback as to whats happening next. Everything about children's mental health services is appalling. Constantly up against barriers, its exhausting fighting so hard for basic support. Communication poor. Good luck out there.

Took me going to A&E in a crisis to finally be seen.I was told I was seeing ghosts and that I'm going crazy and have been told some really nasty things from these so called camhs workers.they are clearly in it for the money and it's absolutely disgusting me and many other young people are being failed by the system something seriously needs to change.If you can afford it I would definitely advise going private because you will probably be waiting 5 years on a waiting list left to rot as they don't care at all

Absolutely appalling. They don’t care for children. All they do is their best to not give help to even the most desperate children. Their aim is to discharge children as quickly as possible. The less kids the less work for them. Even suicidal kids are left on a waiting lists for years to rot. Camhs Torbay you are a disgrace and should be ashamed of yourselves, each and every useless one of you!
