Unfortunately, our experience at Topside by NDMK was extremely disappointing. We first waited 30 minutes because the hostess missed our name on the list. Once we were finally seated, another 15 minutes passed without a server acknowledging us. We asked a busser for water, and he said he would get our waiter. We watched him speak to a male waiter, who looked directly at our table but returned to chatting with the bartender. Had to wait a long time over 20 minutes to get a server. Adam, one of the servers, walked past us several times and didnt pay attention until I had to call him. Took our order, someone else brought the food, then didnt bother to come by our table afterwards to check on us, just like a usual waiter would. Also, it took a long time to get the bill after asking for it. We couldve easily walked out without paying, too. Adam, pay attention to your clients!

Visited Catalina for a birthday celebration and luckily came here for dinner. We lucked out and had Perla as our waitress and she made our trip. Didn't rush us, told us about the island and made our dinner extra special with food and drink recommendations. We enjoyed it so much we came back for happy hour the next day and met more excellent bartenders and servers. The atmosphere is great with views of the harbor and relaxed staff. We will be back next time we visit Catalina and if you get Perla as your server, consider yours... read more

Just okay. The space is nice and the patio deck offers great views but the food was nothing special. Two of us had the catch of the day grilled fish plate (swordfish, over cooked and dry and most likely NOT a fresh catch) and pastrami sandwich (better, tasty. Apparently new to the menu and may be a better choice) Overall for a seafood restaurant a bit of a disappointment, however.
