Review of Sandy Creek Big M Supermarket My wife and I have a cabin on the Tug Hill Plateau and have been purchasing groceries from the Big M for 18 years....for a small town, the selection of foods and fresh fruit/veggies is good with reasonable prices.The store is clean with very helpful staff....if you are in the area and need groceries, the Sandy Creek Big M is the place to go!
One stop shopping This is a convenient place to go for groceries if you live or are staying on the north end of town. Howeve, you might find it better to go to Hannafords only a short ride away. The products at this Grand Union seem to be left out for awhile and can be past the experation date. I would highly reccommend closely examining the product before purchasing.
We don't shop here anymore We don't shop at this store because it is too crowded and too much of a hassle to park. Years ago Grand Union was a decent store but I really don't think they have been able to keep up with the changing times. This store is way too crowded and busy. The staff seems over worked and stressed. Customer service needs work too. I used to enjoy coming here to purchase a certain brand of Swiss Cheese, but now I don't even bother.
Tops sold me rotted fish I bought fish from Tops in Erie, 38th Street, yesterday 7/29/10 and today I was about to cook it when I realized that the fish is rotted. YUK. I wonder how long they had the fish sitting in the showcase? That is disgusting.
Poor service and high prices! i would not recommend this store to anyone trying to survive on a budget. Even when they have the best sales they raise the other prices to make up for their losses! I also find poor customer service when all the employees seem to be preoccupied with everything but the customers, i would think that customer service would be their first priority since we as customers are the ones that make the store possible at all.
Tops Tops Market is right up the street from my house. I used to go here all the time until Wally World opened up down the street. The prices aren't the cheapest and the variety of products available isn't wide. The store is reasonably clean, they do sell delicious pizza in their hot foods section, and they do double coupons, sometimes even triple. The service isn't smile in your face friendly, but it isn't rude either.
"Tops never stops saving you more!" Tops is a good store. Large parking lot which is mostly keep clean and clear of shopping carts. Clean and tidy most of the time. Wide variety of products which are usually well stocked. Various monthly or bi-monthly special promotions. Double coupons up to and including .99 cents and occassionally triple coupons up to .99 cents (limit 6 per person, per week). Very good Tops and several coupon friendly employees This Tops is well-managed. I shop here frequently for my weekly groceries. I love the double coupons and most cashiers don't hassle one with coupons. I have several favorite cashiers because they really understand coupons and encourage rather than discourage the use of them. This store is always well stocked and clean. Only negative is the bathrooms. I know they get a lot of use, so maintanence should be kept up a little better.
Terrible staff Terrible service and the manager and staff were very unprofessional. Prices were also terrible, as were the so called sales.
