My initial review was a 5. Until the new owners took over and everything changed. The “repairs” they made to the air conditioner for several hundred dollars lasted a couple months. Then they tried to charge me another $800 to fix it again. Later I learned from another mechanic that they had NOT replaced the parts they claimed to, only filled it with refrigerant, which dripped out again.
I had a great experience at this shop! I needed to get the PVC hose repaired in order to pass the smog test, and they took care of it quickly and professionally. The staff was friendly, honest, and explained everything clearly. The price was fair, and my car passed smog with no issues afterward. It’s hard to find a place you can trust, but I’ll definitely be coming back for future repairs. Highly recommend!

A few weeks ago I purchased a 2007 ford ranger for a good price. After doing a lot of work on the vehicle I took it to Preston over at Encinitas Smog and Auto Repair. Him and his entire team are all really good people. I even had a question I had needed answered about my cars heater system and all of them were able to help me figure it out! Also with the smog report they included information about the airbag recall my vehicle needed too which is a great reminder. Thanks again!
