What a crook Tom's is. I searched for a Dakota bed and was referred by 2 other used parts dealers to call Tom's. I searched on line and found the bed i was looking for. Tom's stock # 140120 listed on there site on 3/30/15 for $850. I called and asked if a picture could be sent to me before i drive 45min to look at. I was sent a picture on 3/29/15. great place for used parts – been a technician for ten plus years and have used toms foreign and domestic for used parts they take pride in what they do and are helpful with any question you may have. all i have to say is if your calling a junk yard for something like a battery or hub assembly or any type of simple and cheap part than your the ones ripping yourselvs off they are cheap enough parts to go buy brand new at any auto store or even walmart carries cheap batteries just remeber you get what you pay for, being cheap ... read more
Really Bad Experience – I called Tom's to get a price on a rim, the quoted me $75 dollars over the phone. I drove about 45 minutes to get to Bristol and when I got there the price changed to $100. When I showed him what i wrote down from our conversation he accused me of being mistaken! when I stated I did not make up the price he states that maybe he "messed up" (cleaned up for internet use) but had a take it or leave it attitude. It is the last time i will ever go there and will pay full price before even call them again!
bunch of crooks – tried to charge me $150 for a 16 year old drive shaft, covered in rust, with no warranty. chuck and eddies charged $40, with a warranty. tried to charge me $100 for a 16 year old ford hub, which are $65 brand new at autozone!!! tried to charge me $150 for a 16 year old ABS control module, dime a dozen at chuck and eddies!! tried to charge me $100-something for a 99 cherokee hub/wheel bearing assembly, $60 brand new at autozone!! so for those of you looking up junk yards, type "chuck and eddies southington" ... read more
