Go to Irene's – While Sam is one of the best waiters in town, Tommy is the worst manager/owner. I actually had the pleasure of trying to cancel my long-awaited order at the Wine Bar and the bar-manager avoided me until it took long enough for me to acquiesce and take the cold food. Service going down the tubes. Went back after a 6 month lobby and will never recommend it again. Going to Irene's....
Great Place......Drastically Declining Staff – I've been into Tommy's Wine Bar many times, and have loved the place for a long time. However, my recent trips have left me wanting more from the staff. Increasingly, since around December, the staff has become less friendly and less attentive. I've recently become a regular guest at Tommys wine bar. I find it the best wine bar in town. An old warehouse, it has been completly renovated and elegantly decorated. The wine list is second to none, and features both domestic and imported wines. It provides an extremely comfortable setting in a relaxed and informal abmbience, allowing me to enjoy and savor my drink while listening to live music.
