Been coming here for years on the count of the great cuts and service of my barber here. However the receptionist Michelle is honestly the worst part of this place. She's quite rude, unprofessional, and impatient, in person and over the phone. I dread dealing with her everytime I need a haircut. She's also hard to communicate with, perhaps due to her poor language and communication skills. Very unfortunate considering a receptionist is the first point of contact and face of a business. Not a great impression of the place.
Booking an appointment at Tommy Gun's is apparently just a suggestion. I showed up for my 5:00 PM appointment, excited for my haircut, only to be told to wait for half an hour. Maybe 'appointment' means 'come whenever you want and we'll get to you... eventually.' If you enjoy waiting around for no reason, this is your place. If not, go somewhere that actually respects your time.
I really like the ability to check in online and to select my barber. JM is my usual go to as she does a great job of delivering the cut I want, offers an eyebrow trim and the hair wash and scalp massage almost make me fall asleep. The only reason I don't give a 5 star is I've had some bad shave experiences in the past which is unrelated to JM. Dull razor blade, lots of cuts and not a smooth feeling. To get me to raise that rating, I feel like I would need a complimentary shave to assess the quality.
Agatha was top notch, the attention to detail and the her personality makes you wanna come back there more often.
