We love Tomatina’s but the service is really bad. From the moment you walk in no one greets you. They take forever to come to your table to just bring your drinks and once they bring your food, they never come back to check on you. The Union City location is the closest one to us and we sometimes don’t go just because of the service. We really hope that the service can improve at this location.
I visit Tomatina often, but today’s experience was disappointing. Around 2:00 pm, I came in for a regular family lunch (2 adults and 4 kids). At the time to pay my bill, the server (a tall gentleman) brought me the credit card machine. I selected a $10.00 tip, but he removed it and applied a mandatory 20% tip, even after I had already made my selection. The pasta had no taste - just semi boiled fettuccine and raw mushrooms in watery sauce. The garden pizza also had raw toppings and too much cheese. Won't recommend.
