We were lucky to catch the last tour of the season. Paul is so passionate in explaining everything about opal mining - a wonderful tour which finished with home made scones, jam, real whipped cream and coffee! Excellent value for money - we highly recommend. Watch this space for underground extensions which will be amazing!
Excellent tour and a must visit when in coober. Extensive history about mining in the town and of the mine itself. Children get to search for opals in mine during the tour and then sell them to the opal dealer at the end. I highly recomend this experience.
Amazing, our guide was a wealth of stories from more than 40 years of his personal experiences in the opal capital of the world. I can highly recommend this for kids of all ages. They had a ball and so did I. Must do in coober pedy.
