The last year of my sisters life was extremely painful and frustrating for her and our family. The lack of care and empathy she received from the two key doctors at the Tom Baker Cancer was extremely disappointing and frustrating for our family to watch and experience. She was very weak and in so much pain the last year of her life but always made it to her doctor appointments on time only to sit and wait 2 to 3 hours to see her doctor. Well this is a little late, but, it's better than not at all. I mean what do I say, these people saved my life. I am a 2 time cancer survivor. Acute Myeloid Leukemia was my diagnosis. The care I received at TBCC was second to none and 17 years later I am still standing. I was diagnosed in 07, relapsed in 08, received a Stem cell transplant in 09. I am so great full for the radiation therapist team. Mapping was successful and done by Harkirit and Carman . I then moved on to unit ten from late Aug- September 24’2024 my team was Riya, Samira, Emmanuel, and Henry who were all exceptional. A huge thank you to Dr. Cao for the incredible professionalism. A Doctor who takes his position seriously and takes the time to explain to the patient what is happening to them and why or why not this treatment would be beneficial. I really dislike writing negative reviews. I'm also a person who would prefer to have a conversation with the individual before just posting. Convo has no yet been had, but will during the next appointment when we will be asking for a new oncologist. Just feel people need to hear our 2nd negative experience with the Tom Baker Center. 2 separate oncologist doctors.
