Tokyo Joes is like a second home, they treat everyone with respect, and kindness. They are understanding and supportive, to children and their families. All the children I see come out of the dojo come out with a smile, have confidence, and are respectful. I also want to mention if you feel down on yourself the amount of positivity not only from the staff but the people around you in the dojo lift you up. Just wanted to take a few minutes and express to you what Tokyo Joe's has done for my son as well as our family. When we first started there, my son was just diagnosed with ADHD and we were having a difficult time with getting him to focus/listen both at school and home. He at the time was very much into ninja turtles as all little boys are, so i thought to myself how about getting him into karate. I’m now a green belt at Tokyo joes, and I love it! Like other things, at some points you want to quit because it feels repetitive, but it feels so good when you get a new belt, and go to the next rank. When you promote, Shihan always has something positive to say. With all the chaos life throws at me, going to karate makes it all better. I would highly recommend Tokyo joes to kids who have low self esteem, because nothing feels as rewarding than getting your next belt.
