Called ahead of time to see if a Gluten Free menu was available, host confirmed there was one. Came in, restaurant was beautiful. Server seemed high, and/or that he genuinely didn’t care about the service. Was very quiet. Ordered sashimi, and told the server that my girlfriend was Gluten Free. Confirmed with the server and food comes out, rice was covered in rice wine vinegar and she could not eat it. Men’s bathroom was disgusting as well. Gluten Free individuals avoid for your own sake.
I'm not sure why this has such high reviews, it doesnt deserve it. 1. Sushi prices here I noticed are higher than Hokkaido and Fuki but taste sub par. I could be wrong maybe the price is the same but Hokkaido and Fuji both have better tasting sushi and Hokkaido has huge rolls so you get your money's worth. 2. There was a strong bleach smell at our table that really offended my nose. I smelled the table and nearly burned my nose hairs. This place sucks. The server was lousy and slow, we waited forever on just water. The food was gross especially for how expensive everything was
The food has kind of always felt just okay for its price point - It’s good, just not sure if the food is worth the price, but the girl working front of house, Lindsay (hopefully spelling it right) is YOUNG and more patient than most adults my middle age. She’s the reason for the 5 stars. I saw her easily navigate a legit difficult customer, and little toddler family members of coworkers (who was just also an absolute sweetpea and so adorable).
