Omg so amazing. Vegan Korean food isn't always the easiest to find so it was such a delight to be able to have everything so clearly labeled. I got mandoo soon tofu jjiage, 10/10 fantastic. Photo shows how much I enjoyed my jjiage. The tofu was so delicious. I would love some vegan kimchi but I understand that they probably use a family recipe with fish in it so i'm not complaining. My Korean partner said you can tell these were family dishes. I will be returning to bring my family! So so so good!
The fine folks at Tofu Story have literally been in the lab cooking. No seriously, they have an actual “Tofu Lab” inside the restaurant where you can watch their scientists craft the velvety soon dubu (soft tofu) from scratch. This place is a real gem and the soon dubu-jiggae is spicy, delicious, and addicting. The menu is conducive to sharing and we ordered a variety of dishes to try as much as possible. Really good dolsot bibimbap and banchan. The spicy pork flavor was great and the veggies cooked nicely.
This has to be the worst Soon Dubu I’ve ever had. The fact that the hostess didn’t respond to me back in Korean should have been a clear sign but hoped for the best. The description says it’s as good as Tofu shops in LA, not even close.
