Dr. Sommer performed my husbands bone spur surgery. The prior review seemed idiotic to me, as how smart to you have to be to learn to not put weight on your foot? Using a knee scooter and crutches does not take an Einstein to figure out. This is more about the quality of care and the skill of the surgeon. In all these aspects, Dr. Sommer did an outstanding job with an excellent future prognosis for lack of pain and mobility in the future.
I had a surgery scheduled with Dr Sommers that got cancelled due to lack of information and guidance on how to care for myself after the surgery. Was told ‘no weight-bearing ‘ on that foot for at least 4 weeks. I couldn’t figure out how to get from sitting to standing on my own with no weight on that foot, so the surgery got cancelled rather than teach me how to do it.
