Have been seeing Dr Shinnick for many many years, great doctor. However, ever since Maple Medical merged into the White Plains Hospital system, I could no longer get an appointment. Just called today (4/23/2026) for a physical, and the earliest I could get is October. I also have to move a follow up next week, and the earliest available time is in July. I have been a patient of Dr. Shinnick’s for over 25 years and he is an excellent Doctor in every respect!!! I don’t know what is going on with his office - ever since WP Hospital took over, it has been easier to get an audience with the Pope. Last fall I called for an appointment and was told the earliest date was in April 2025! Unfortunately, I had to cancel as I was unexpectedly called out of town prior to my appointment. Been seeing Dr Shinnick for years, tried to call today to schedule a physical told next available date is 6 months from now? come on... I wouldn't even expect this with socialized healthcare.
Had an appointment today for a physical. Took time off of work. When I arrived for my 9:15 appointment, I was asked to wait. In the 25 minutes before I was called, I saw Dr. Shimmick come into the reception area several times, once, even saying he was bored. I think he was waiting for someone or something. Once I was called in, I was asked what the follow up was for. I said, I was here for a physical. Nurse said, no, you're scheduled for a follow up.
