The original owner, Toby Smidt, sold the business to his employee, Clarence Koenigsfeld, when he decided to retire in 1971. Clarence has been expanding the business ever since. The shop was moved to a much more spacious location on North Ten Mile Drive in 1977. Toby's had gone from an operation of about 2 employees to one with 6 employees.
