Wonderful area and kind owners. My husband and I stayed in the Green Door cabin (meant for 2 guests) for a long weekend. They are very affordablly priced! AC is cold and water is hot, kitchen has the utensils needed and skewers for roasting over the fire pit. Plenty of towels and toiletries, and I love that they recycle and compost (which you can choose to do or not, but we did). Toadshade Hill is a lovely, working farm/homestead that transports you to a different world. This spot has everything you need: comfortable cabins with thoughtful touches, friendly animals, and warm hosts. We love coming here!
Toadshade Hill has been a great comfort and escape for us. It was so surreal to wake up in a late 1700s cabin! We stayed in Brown Door. We loved the rustic and authentic vibe. The animals were really friendly and cute! We really enjoyed the firepit area and the rear screened in porch. …. Good WiFi if you choose to stay connected but it really is the perfect place to just unplug. The best part of all? Sarah! The hosts here are the BEST!
This place is very beautiful and peaceful but no too far from things to do and town. The cabins are cozy and practical. The kitchen had everything and the kitchen sink. I left wanting to go back and move in!
Absolutely adore this little spot and constantly recommend it to friends and family. We're repeat visitors at Green Door! The peace we find in this little cottage is something we cherish! A beautiful mix of historic and cozy but still has modern amenities like heat/air and wifi. The wonderful and accommodating hosts keep the place well stocked and maintained. It's always a treat when we can enjoy a fire pit under the stars, enjoying the peace of the homestead.
