Our family has been operating canoe and kayak rentals since 1976, founded by a mother and son team, Gretchen and John Evans started renting canoes from a small camper located on the property. Gretchen found the property for sale in 1972 while trailblazing from Sarasota FL back to our home state of Illinois. She purchased it and with her son John, his wife Connie and family, moved here in 1974. Wakulla River TnT Hideaway has been on the Wakulla River off Hwy 98, since I was young. Canoe rentals, boats, fishing, swimming, jumping off the bridge, then not now, :)...a nice Indian woman who owned and ran it. I knew of this woman, as she was the Grandmother of a friend of mine that I grew up with in Wakulla County. He and his family now run the business with Kayak and Canoe guided tours up and down the Wakulla River. It is a place of Serenity and outdoor adventure. The place is beautiful, Inside and Out.
