My hybrid car showed a serious error Thursday. The problem was the hybrid battery. This is a 1-man shop run by an experienced mechanic. He plugged into my ODB2 port and confirmed the battery problem. He didn't charge for checking it out. He told me that I have a few weeks until the battery dies completely. He doesn't normally do battery swaps since he doesnxt have an established source. I'll be getting a refurbished battery installed elsewhere.
Man jump started my car when battery was dead.
John has been my mechanic since shortly after I moved to Tujunga. He is the only one I have taken my Honda to since it was new in 2011. He is trustworthy and fair. His automotive breath of knowledge is truly impressive. Thanks John
