TML is a really relaxing place to get blood drawn, the pathologists in the collection centre are just simply wonderful.
The most farcical misuse of "no appointment required" I have ever seen. First I travelled an hour to Wynyard to find "there is nobody in pathology today". I then went to Burnie. 40 minutes in and one person had been tested and the endless flow of new fasting requests at the counter meant the two workers there were just going back and forth to the sound of the bell. GET A RECEPTIONIST is my first tip. In the end, I gave up, got my form back and went on to Ulverstone. I suspect I would have sat at Burnie for at least two hours... read more
I had a code on my phone from the mainland. It wouldn't scan. The ladies problem solved - we downloaded the script and emailed it to them and they printed it out for me so that we could do the blood work. I'm so grateful for the service and care. I highly recommend this pathology centre.
