My elderly mom was so distraught after receiving a nearly $4000 invoice to transport my dad to a diagnostic exam at an area hospital. She had been quoted about 1/4 that amount. When she finally got through to the owner he could not even allay her anxiety by doing the mental math to assure here it should only be what was quoted. I advised her to tell him this was serious enough to go to media. TLC transported me to Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette from Erie Shores Hospital after being in pain from back surgery a couple of days earlier. We did not drive to Windsor where the surgery had taken place because of so much pain. The ride was ridiculous. Very rough and painful. A lot of rocking and rolling. TLC needs a new vehicle that is more comfortable for patient transport or at the least a more considerate driver, rather than inflicting more discomfort already during a very stressful time.
