This company is a joke, they are charging for an early termination when I never terminated my account and charging additional fees that add another $36 to my monthly bill. But I'll be done with them when a local supplier has tanks available
If I could give a zero I would cause that is what they are worth nothing. Like everyone else they bring you a tank with no gas in it and then you wait for about a week in zero degree weather and do not care. Customer service is a joke, just puts you on hold and then gets back to you and says they can not do anything. When I called them out on it they just laughed. It's not the same Amerigas that I sign up for years ago. The changes that have been made are terrible.

I have been with Amerigas for 20 years and their Costomer service was great when I could call the local office and speak to the same 2 assistants - Now it seems that you cant speak to the office - only an automated system to NOWHERE !!!! Called 4 different numbers- first call was on hold for 30 mins and disconnected, then on hold for 45 mins till I hung up - 3 rd call was told I would be transferred - I asked for # and I was disconnected - I called # and was put back on automated system - 4 th call took an hour - all to mak... read more
I am very angry and looking for people to help me in my battle against amerigas. 2 months ago we called for propane, of course it was several days before they came out. We work nights and we're just going to bed when they showed up to fill tank around 0930. The truck backs up beside house at our window so I could hear it filling tank and went to sleep thankful that they made it out before the weekend so that I could have hot showers while working my 7 ,12hr shifts as a nurse. This is the worst company EVER!! Started off with me trying to set up an account, emailed them thought I was good to go. Months later I find out it was never set up and they told me there was no record of me talking to anyone. I proceeded to send them my email application and correspondence with their representative. Fast forward and a year and half. I filled my tank in November. In April I had an awful smell in the house (propane leak). I’ve been a customer of Amerigas for years. I’ve been waiting 3 weeks for a delivery. Done! Pick up tank and I’m canceling service!
We used Amerigas at our cottage with a 250 gallon tank because we do not use a lot of gas. After years of them charging us a $125 annual tank rental fee except the years when we did not buy enough propane, we are now going to natural gas. They will not refund for the gas left in the tank because Michigan does not require it. What a rip off. They should do the right thing anyhow. They also wanted to know if I wanted the tank removed or if I wanted to buy it. Unbelievable. Happy I am going to natural gas.
