I called the Maplewood location about brakes Saturday 06/27/2026. I was invited to do the testing on my brakes. I had suspected for a few months that my brakes needed replacing. They determined I needed brakes, rotors, a flush, and an engine air filter. They set an appointment for the next day. When they said Sunday at 8am, I repeated it back to them. They confirmed. Been a customer here for about 10 years. I always go here for my vehicles (mine, my girl's, my mother's, etc.) The manager, Mike, is just about the most reasonable and responsible mechanic/shop manager that I've ever met. He treats his customers with honesty and kindness, and he treats his staff with honesty, inspiration, kindness, and a mission towards hard work. Please stay away from this location. I cannot tell you strongly enough, do not send friends or neighbors here. I have worked with them for a long time and will never go back. My check engine light was on for a misfire in a cylinder. I asked to have coil changed on the cylinder. They stated they changed it. I paid for it and left, the light then came on again. Recently had my '99' Jeep Grand Cherokee in for some repairs and am overjoyed with the service and the successful solutionsctowars my concern with my vehicle.
My son, who attends a nearby college, brought his new Honda Civic to Tires Plus Boca – East for a routine oil change and tire rotation. Unfortunately, they failed to properly secure the engine splash guard. As a result, it came loose while he was driving and was damaged, requiring replacement. When he returned to the location, they refused to take responsibility. The best they initially offered was to install a new splash guard only if he purchased one himself.
