I thought telehealth would be convenient. But, she ended the appointment without treating my medical problems or answering questions. She appeared to be doing other work at the time. I realized that many doctors have numerous patients waiting to be rushed through as they bill insurance for an extended visit. She was angry and nasty with me attempting to address my medical needs. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this deserves a warning. I was charged $300 for a “30+ minute new patient appointment,” yet I was in and out in under 15. No physical exam, no real conversation—just vitals and some lab orders. When I questioned the billing, I was told it was because the doctor did more work after I left. That’s not how billing should work. I’ve since learned this billing code (99203) requires very specific criteria, and this visit didn’t come close. So happy I went to see Dr. Tran. I had been avoiding going to a primary care doctor for a while. I was pleasantly surprised by how thorough and investigative she was. She took time to listen and go through my medical history. She was caring, aware of my MS, and took my persistent shoulder and neck pain seriously, which was so comforting.
