We had an extremely disappointing experience with Tina Mathew in NYP Cornell ED. Her bedside manner was shockingly poor—rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in compassion. Instead of addressing my mom's concerns with professionalism, she were aggressive and disrespectful. As someone in healthcare, it was clear that she was practicing below the standard of care. She showed little regard for her patient's well-being and did not even examine the patient!

My wife went to the ER last night with stabbing stomach pains. She is autoimmune compromised. After asking for six hours she was finally scanned. The scan showed she has pneumonia and huge cyst on her right kidney. Instead of admitting her , she discharged her despite my wife’s struggle to breathe. She yelled at my wife and told her to get back in bed after getting up to ask a question. She called security when she got up a second time. She wouldn’t let her have any of her medications. This doctor-Dr. Mathew-needs to develop compassion and better insight into patient care. She ought to possess more patience and the ability to understand a parent’s concern when their child is treated regardless of age in an emergency situation vs. acting wholly clinical. Disappointing demeanor, lack of professional experience is obvious.
