This is a place you've seen the inside of in a lot of movies and maybe the outside of. It looks like a wild western bar. It has swinging double doors and everything. Even middle of the day it's dark and dingy, but so many hollywood deals go down here it's worth picking a booth, ordering a very good burger and chips, and watching who goes in and out for a few hours. Parking is decent on the street most of the day. Never been at night.
This is LOVE – Tinhorn is amazing. GREAT staff. BESTTT burgers. best best best prices. great specials!! place in fun to go to and hang out. Theres a jukebox!! it is the best little bar
Unlike any other bar in LA – This place doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. It's unlike any other bar in LA. It's unpretentious, and you won't hear any discussions about who signed with what agent or what studios are shuffling execs. Contrary to other reviewers, I found the wait staff to be friendly and attentive. If you're looking for swank, don't bother, but if you're looking for a casual "neighborhood watering hole," this place is a great time.
Editorial Review – Western-themed restaurant/saloon serves traditional American fare to local families and sports fan inside and on the small back patio.
WORST CHOICE FOR A CHICAGO BEARS BAR – I grew up on the South Side of Chicago but I've also lived in Wrigleyville on the North Side, San Diego, Austin and now Los Angeles. I'm a drunk who's seen the inside of too many taverns in my life and I can say with certainty this bar doesn't cut it. I went there today on a whim because I heard it was a Chicago Bears bar. It ended up being a forgettable experience. The fans there were great. The few girls in attendance were all cute. Everyone was a die-hard Chicago bears fans. However,... read more
This Bar Gives Chicago a Bad Name – I went to this bar for a friends birthday and let me tell you it was a big mistake. The bar is located in a seedy area in Burbank and its where a lot of Chicago Bears, Cubs, and White Sox fans go to watch games. I went up to the bar to get a beer and it took about 10 minutes to get a beer and I was the only person up at the bar. For what reason I dont know - the beer is kept in a freezer in the back of the restaurant near the restrooms. The bartender has to walk all the way to the back jus... read more
hidden gem – I can't believe nobody's mentioned that this place is a "Chicago" bar. I make it here every sunday during football season. It's a sea of orange and blue. You don't have NFL Ticket? Forget about it and come here to watch the game. Just make sure to wear your Chicago Bears colors, or you'll stick out like a sore thumb. Food is standard bar food. Goes great with a cold one and the monsters of the midway on the box. If you're a Chicagoan, you've gotta check this place out.
Tin Horn Flats Falls Flat – This could be a great little burger joint/local bar. Great combo of low brow/high brow, miller lite meets Grey Goose. However, my first visit for dinner and drinks was cut short! With $10 in the juke box, the 45 - 50 somthing manager called last call at 10:45. The next thing I knew the juke box was shut off promting us to leave with full beers, an empty stomache, and an empty heart, without so much as an I'm sorry or we close early. Not recommended at all!!
Great Burgers – Tin Horn Flats is a great place to have a burger. Swinging bar doors are reminicient of the Old West, as is the minimalist cowboy-like decor inside. The prices are more than reasonable and there's a full bar to boot. Speaking of the bar, though, it does sometimes get a little bit rough. So, if you're not into all that , then plan to finish up your meal before 8 or 9 o'clock. However, if dives are your thing, then stick around. There's pool tables and a smoking patio outside (though it closes early).
