As a mom who works full time let me start by saying that I work in one of the local hospitals here in New Jersey. I encounter plenty of physicians and surgeons. I get to see their bedside manner and see them after hours and see who really shows up for families and their sick children. As a father, Dr. Vogel’s diagnosis caused our family severe emotional trauma. After our infant son suffered a head injury and recovered, we were referred to Dr. Vogel for follow-up. During the second visit, without new imaging, he told us our son had Metopic Cranial Stenosis and might need cranial surgery. We were devastated. Fortunately, a friend advised us to get a second opinion. We wanted to share our gratitude and blessings for finding Dr. Vogel for our infant son for his skull condition. After our son was born he had an abnormal head shape that our pediatrician watched to see if it got better. My husband and I were concerned but we listened to his pediatrician. On our three month checkup the head shape was getting more noticeable and we were referred to Dr. Richard Anderson who looked at our son and said there were no worries and that everything was fine.
