Dr Welby is rude and condescending. I wouldn’t mind so much if he was a good doctor but he made numerous mistakes with my child which could have proved to be life threatening. Will be finding a new pediatrician.
I was shocked by the scores on here. My son has been going to Dr Welby since birth, 10 years ago. This man is awesome. He's the perfect doctor for us. Doesn't coddle. Asks the right questions and gives the right advice. I never feel rushed and I feel cared for. If you want a doctor that is going to order tests if you child has sniffles, he's probably not the right one for you. If you want a doctor like the one you had as a kid (back in the olden days), he's your man. I wouldn't change to anyone else.
I brought my baby there with a 101 fever. Dr. Welby blew me off and told me it was a head cold. 4 hours later her fever was up to 103 and the staff ignored me and tried to tell me to stay home and let it ride it's course. Come to find out she had a double ear, eye, and sinus infection. Don't trust Dr. Welby. That office just churns out patients without doing thorough exams. I agree with another review on here that he is VERY condescending towards parents. I will be finding another pediatrician.
Never have to wait. Dr Welby always makes you feel comfortable no matter what question or time of day. Wish my boys could keep going to him. Excellent Doctor!
Dr. Welby is not our PCP but unfortunately we must see him every once in awhile for a sick visit. He is very condescending to parents, does not review patient history or do a thorough exam.
These other reviews really surprised me. The staff is awesome, scheduling is great, and most importantly Dr. Welby is knowledagle and has great bedside manner with our children. We have been seeing him for 12 years. I would have given five stars but the appointments seem a bit rushed at times. I'm always sure to write down any questions I have and slow him down if need be.
