I have been a patient of Dr Hain since 2015 and have to express my extreme desperation and disappointment over having my appointment with Dr. Hain canceled. I waited almost 5 months for this very important appointment at his new place at university of Chicago and then a week prior to the appointment, I received a phone call canceling my appointment and dismissing me from the practice and refusing to see me . I had been a longtime patient of Dr. Hain and have severe vestibular issues that require his very specialized expertis... read more
My Wife is experiencing severe symptoms including dizziness, imbalance, hearing issues, and nausea/vomiting. I've been calling his office to set an appointment for 3 days now. No one has reached out to us as they said they would. We'll be finding another doctor. Don't waste your time.
Knowledgeable. Great bedside manner. Excellent advice/care. I could not be more pleased.
One of the best doctors
Business response:
Thanks for your kind words. I am presently partially retired and am only seeing "one time" patients. I am sorry about your situation. My partner, Dr. Cherchi, has taken over the urgent follow-ups.
In 1996 I had severe vertigo which lasted for several months. When I stood up after laying down the room spun and I would get nauseous. Dr Tim Hain did several diagnostic tests on me in his office at Northwestern hospital and that same day he performed a very simple noninvasive procedure with a new prototype he helped develop a type of massage on both of my ears. When I sat up the vertigo was gone. It was like a miracle and it has never come back since and that’s been 22 years ago!!
Dr Hain is an amazing doctor specializing in vestibular rehabilitations Published lots of papers on gentamicin toxicity Very impressive and friendly doctor Responds to my Email promptly
I've been experiencing vertigo for 7 years. I went to get an official diagnosis and instead left with a diagnosis of 'vertigo' which I obviously have.. And a prescription for an anti depressant. Of course he thought it was migraines which I've never had, or he thought I was faking. Waste of time.
I met with Doctor Hain in mid December, and I had a great experience. I went in for vertigo symptoms I had been experiencing these symptoms for one month. Once in the exam room Doctor Hain was able to say right away I did not have vertigo by looking at my symptoms and MRI from eariler that month. He came to the conclusion it was medication intoxication from when I was weaned off one medicine. He cut my dose in half and I felt 100 times better the following day.
