My wife and I had TimeLine Design design and build our custom 5700 sq ft Portola Valley home. From tear down of the old house to move in to the new house was on schedule at 19 months! Unbelievable. I believe this performance was partly due to the fact that they did the architectural design as well as the build, so the normal stresses between architect and builder were not present.
