Avoid. Our customer experience: Communication from Chris was a bit scattered from the beginning, but we gave him the benefit of the doubt as he seemed friendly enough and we understood all trades were busy. In Nov 2024 after a couple of months of back and forth, Chris visited to inspect the floors, gave us a quote, we accepted and we booked the work for mid-Feb 2025. The fellers arrived on time, explained everything and were very pleasant to deal with. They did a terrific job with a few problem areas. The floors and steps look great!
What a shame there is such variety in reviews. We had Chris and Nick do a floor made from repurposed boards in our house at Stratford. Found them friendly, reliable, nothing was too much for them, the finish was exactly what we hoped for, on time and a good price in the current economic climate in building trades.

Unprofessional and untrustworthy. Chris told me he would get back to me with a quote on the first weekend after his site visit, which was a reasonable time. 3 weeks down the track, he changed his mind and said he was too busy to quote. Seriously?? You just wasted my time and your time... He gave me a bunch of excuses and left me hanging and needing to find someone else for the job. I know Cairns has a limited supply of contractors and a lot of work, but I highly recommend not to contact this guy. Suppprt contractors who care... read more
