The location is great. You can enjoy a 20 minute walk along the river into town. It was beautiful and we really enjoyed it! More of a walk not a hike which is a plus! The scenery is amazing. Rooms are great. We had two bedrooms, each with our own TV's. I loved the artwork in the rooms that represented the beauty of this area. The nightly fire pit and provided S'mores fixings was just perfect! We had it all to ourselves. Such a kind and friendly lady running the place!
After we were disappointed in Telluride, the staff lady at the desk gave us warm words and treated us kindly. This place provides nice view of beautiful mountains and sound of the creek. Although this is not a 5-star lodging, it is an absolutely great choice to stay here. I couldn't say good bye to her because she was not there when we departed early in the morning. Thank you!
The room was very clean and homey. The receptionist, Kelly, was very sweet and accommodating. Despite our mistake in booking the room, she gave us a new room right away, making sure we were comfortable. She even recommended us good places to eat and to see around the city. They had a very cozy fire outside where we could make smores, and even included a warm blanket and ingredients for making the smores for free. We really appreciated our stay there and will book there again nextime I come back.
Remember the good ole days when corporations didn’t bleed into every hotel and half-ass their hospitality services? This was not like one of those hotels. Staying at Timber Ridge Lodge was like staying at your best friend’s family ski cabin for the weekend. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff exceeded our expectations.
