I would give this GUY ZERO STARS if possible. We dropped off our equipment for maintenance and could not get him to return our calls for months. When we did finally reach him a simple tune up turned into a bill that was 4x what we were quoted. DO NOT TRUST THEM!
We left our lawn mower for a tune up. After months and a half dozen messages, we finally got in touch with him. At this point he decided to tell us the $200 tune up was now $800 because he found low compression on the motor. He never rebuilt the motor or called to tell us any of the repairs he was making or to ask for approval. Now he is insisting that we give him $800 just to pick it up. The guy is a dishonest scammer and his shop looks like a junk yard.
I have been going to Darren at Timber and Lawn for years, My father for decades for his chain saws. Darren laughs at my small electric lawn mower but gladly sharpens the small blades on the spot for me. Always with a shy smile. He appears to be a one man operation. Give him some slack on timing and when he is in the shop. If he has to go out and get parts, he will return. He is a wizard at small engine repair such as lawnmowers and chainsaws! Zero stars!!! If you want any help, the phone answered, the door open during business hours, or even customer service. You would be better off using a local restaurant to help you in your endeavor. Born and raised here the old man that used to run it was great!! But don’t even waste your fuel or time. This is why you can’t shop local anymore!!!
