We had such a wonderful quick weekend getaway here with our dogs! The property is absolutely beautiful and such a peaceful place to relax and unwind. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The sauna was an amazing bonus and the perfect way to end the day. Drew and Janet were incredibly welcoming and made the whole experience even better. We can’t wait to come back and see it in the summer - we might even try out a houseboat for our Honeymoon!!🌲✨
We’ve been coming to Timber Lake Lodge every year and considered it our annual spot, but after our last visit, we won’t be returning. We rented boats as usual and purchased all required insurance. Unfortunately, after an accident, the lodge refused to work with their own insurance or process the claim. This was an extremely disappointing experience, especially for loyal, repeat guests. Not recommended.
We rented a houseboat from this company and also purchased the full insurance coverage for the fishing boats specifically to avoid any issues in case of accidental damage. We were clearly told that the insurance would cover any damages. At the end of our trip, the company attempted to charge us additional money for alleged damage to a boat — despite the fact that we had already paid for full coverage insurance. We were there with a big company as always for last 8 years and we were always happy, but last time we had really bad experiences with new owners. Will not recommend this location any more and we will need to switch to other location for future trips.
We were long-time clients of Timber Bay Lodge & Houseboats for over 10 years and had always been very satisfied under the previous owners. Unfortunately, since the new owners took over, everything has changed — and not for the better. We purchased boat insurance directly from the lodge. When an accident occurred, instead of filing a claim with their insurance, the owner demanded over $6,000 out of pocket, stating he did not want to use his “premium” insurance because his rates might increase.
