After owning our Tilson Home for 1.5 years now, I have no regrets. This builder has went to great lengths to make sure we were happy with our build. Built with Tilson 25+ years ago and no issues at time or after. Discussing building a Palo Duro with Hayden in San Marcos now. Tilson has more media available about their build, finance, and management processes than any other builder I have talked to.
Purchased a home with Tilson and closed in 2024. They do not stand behind their warranty and will leave you stuck with repair bills for poor workmanship by their trade contractors. They definitely hire the lowest bidders to perform the trade work in the home. Their 3rd party inspection program is a joke, they will not catch critical mistakes. For all those who are so in love with the sales people....wait till your construction starts...you will regret you ever even thought about that company. Cheap materials, incompetent contractors who will ruin your hour house, total mess with pricing, warranty department that does its best to convince you that you stupid, word "craftsmanship" does not ring the bells to these individuals.
Our home building experience with Tilson Homes was outstanding from beginning to end.
