Badgering attitude of (commissioned) floor employees and their simultaneous lack of knowledge - this is all true. Their return policies were somewhat restrictive as well. But I still miss the store - when I needed something the same day, or even the same hour - they'd usually have it in stock and their prices were reasonable. All I had to do - go on to their website shortly beforehand, write down item SKUs and then request those SKUs in the store. It was a very good place for a PC enthusiast and do-it-yourselver. The return policy for Laptops is only two weeks! When mine stopped charging, two weeks and three days after purchase, I had to ship it to the manufacturer for repairs instead of just exchanging it.

My personal experience is interesting. The people are more than willing to help but the knowledge I received from one of the employees was beyond bad. The first time I went there I obtain a case to start building a computer. I pretty much told him "Hey, build this for me. I'm trying to spend around this much money." He picks out a motherboard and a few more items. I go home and the motherboard does not fit in the case. I came back and he stated "oh it doesn't fit? I don't see why it wouldn't." I really want to support TD stores because even though their prices can't really compete with online stores like Newegg and Amazon, they are one of the few hobbyist.enthusiast brick and mortar stores left. It's nice to not have to wait 3-7 on shipping to get PC parts. So I went there, just wanting two 4pin power extenders for inside my computer.
