I delivered twice at Piedmont Newnan Hospital and saw Dr. Carroll twice during each of my deliveries (she did not actually end up delivering my children, but saw me during different stages of labor, since she was on call), and unfortunately I did not have the best experience. I felt she was rather condescending and sarcastic regarding birthing options. Hoping other moms have a better experience.
I have never written a review in all my 51 years but I had the best experience today. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Dr. Carroll was extremely thorough and so easy to talk to. I felt so comfortable and at ease. She is definitely the best doctor that I have seen.
I had scheduled appointment 2 months ago and head a lot of health concerns to discuss. It was traffic detours and I was late 15 minutes. The doctor refused to see me. I was waiting for this appointment to discuss major health concerns. I understand it is me at fault for 15 minutes late but the 3 detours could be easily checked that it was really not my fault that I was late. Small town does not have great medical service. I went to Dr. Carroll for my fourth and final pregnancy. At 19 weeks, the ultrasound tech told me I complete placenta previa. I did not speak to Dr. Carroll for nearly a month after. When I brought up some concerns I had, she practically laughed it off saying that I was overreacting. I asked for second opinion and she reluctantly gave it to me. Had I not sought a second opinion, I truly believe my daughter and I would have died in delivery.
