I was only there once, but I'm sad to see it shut down for the owners' retirement. Hopefully they will find new owners who will keep up a great tradition. Even if they don't, this place will be the postcard image I'll carry in my mind from my first visit to Alexandria.
The music is great, the food is bad (in fairness, it's average for a bar/tavern), the drinks selection is subpar and the service is horrible. We have gone a few times with the music as the draw and the service as the reason we don't go back for a while. This time we were asked to get up from bar stools because we didn't have a fresh drink in hand.
