All I heard was, "it's going to take you months to see a neurologist." I was having daily migraines and unable to function. Was referred to one place that took weeks to call me back. I found Tidewater and had an appointment in 2 weeks time. Dr. Bolen and Kate (his PA) were helpful, knowledgable and allowed me to ask all of my many questions. I have since moved to another state and Kate did a check in with me and is making sure I have enough meds until I can see a new neurologist, exceptional care.
Dr Bowman was pretty thorough and for a Neurologist has a pretty decent bedside manner but the front office needs a lot of work in customer service. Getting someone to call you back from their automated phone system is like pulling teeth. I tried calling the direct extension for the manager after she provided it during a visit and even after leaving multiple messages over the course of two weeks I never received a call back. Their disorganization and disrespect cannot be worse anywhere else! I waited for one full hour before someone of Dr. Hughe’s staff brought me to an exam room; and that is where they left me waiting! I left the office without seeing a doc and their staff was surprised when I expressed my dissatisfaction with their wasting of my time. Wasted an entire morning there. But they sent an electronic confirmation to me that I had completed the visit: I guess for their internal statistics or insurance charges. Absolutely unacceptable ... read more
I had a lovely visit w/ Dr. Boleyn & staff, despite the negative comments. Wanted to highlight my experience as some of these reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. The ladies at the front desk were not overly friendly, but did their job effectively. Joy the med assistant was so kind and efficient. Finally, Dr. Bolen was a joy to see, which as many of you know is a rarity nowadays.
