I have been going to Tidewater Eye Care for over 10 years and never had any problem with customer service before. However, my most recent experience (an emergency). I left several messages for a return call and never received a call back. When I finally got through they could not see me for 45 days even after I explained the urgency of the situation. Overbilled – Avoid if you use Tricare Select or other Federal programs. I had my annual eye exam in January 2024 using my Tricare Select benefits, which the office confirmed they accepted when I scheduled the appointment. I’ve used this same benefit at my previous eye doctor in Florida without any issues. I visited on March 27th. The visit went well. I was told during the visit I would get a call in the following two weeks for a follow up. It's currently June and I have not received a call. I reached out about three times to get information and help. Was never able to speak with anyone or schedule a follow up appointment. Each time I called I waited 30-45 minutes for a response and had to leave a voicemail. After multiple voicemails, I still have not heard back.
