Saw my primary care doctor once and never heard from him again. Sent in a request to refill my prescriptions 3 times over one month. I ran out of some of my medications when I need them so I got a PCP at another helath network.
This has always been my go-to hospital for emergencies. That was until my daughter was admitted for a kidney infection after having a stone removed from this hospital. After being admitted and the infection not treated properly, it caused the infection to move to her heart. She now is in heart failure after never having a heart issue before! Do NOT Trust this hospital with your LIFE!!
Is it all about the money? Dr. Shesthra is a pathetic person. I need an epidural in my lower back. I have had them before at Tidal Health hospital. I don't want anesthesia and I have trouble getting rides back and forth. The hospital, if I don't take an anesthesia, does not require me to have someone drive me home. I asked Dr. Shesthra if he would send me a referral to the hospital for me to get it done. He tells me no! I ask him why not? He says "I am not giving you a referral for some thing I can do myself". My experience: DO NOT ASSUME WALK-IN AVAILABILITY at 6:30AM BIG CAVEAT - website and door signs say OPEN HOURS at 6:30 AM Mon-Fri. I showed up at 7:13AM - no staff at reception area, had to check in via machine. Machine check-in: did not have an option for lab/bloodwork. TV screen at end of room on wall showed my "callback time: 1 hour 42 minutes" (which would've made it a 9AM appt time). Did not wait, went to Woodbrook location in Salisbury, was in and out within 15 minutes of arrival.
Made appointments for colonoscopy, cardiologist, even primary doc. Appointments were made in Feb. 2023. Each one was cancelled separately. Colonoscopy was for the initial meet & greet - who knows when it will be done. Cardiologist was put off canceled & never responded to request for another appt. Colonoscopy scheduled for May was put off until late August...thats 5 months then need an appointment for the actual procedure. Great place to be treated like a 3rd class citizen.
Never again if I could go back , worse experience ever, lots of beautiful words
a woman named Mandy Evans works here and her outwardly racist remarks are a reflection of this establishment. i’m sure you don’t only treat white patients so how can black patients feel comfortable coming here when people like Mandy work there? i will never come here and i will spread the word on facebook for people to never come here. racism has no home on the eastern shore and if you felt this way too she would be terminated immediately.
