Dr. Boco may be a good surgeon but he fails in patient on-site contact. Assigning his PA one time was acceptable, but barely, especially because personal consultation after back surgery is essential to outcomes. On a follow-up visit late in 2023, Dr Boco was observed quickly entering an adjacent room when he saw his patient arriving. I I had two surgeries with Dr Boco my lower back and my neck I feel great now I'm at 100% I recommend him to all my family and my friends
Didn't like so we went with a doctor that did listen took my mom with evere headaches where her rheumatologist suggested numerous becaaue had to be her cervical spine after seeing many doctors. Dr. Boco said but no neck pain so its had nothing to do with cervical spine. Well then we researched another neurosurgeon and she had her MRI and sure enough cervical spine issues. She had surgery right away within the 2 weeks . Thats how bad she was. Sometimes doctors need to think outside the box! We saw a great specialist at Rush!
I would recommend Dr. Boco. I had him remove a brain tumor and found him to be a very capable and thoughtful surgeon. He was very responsive to all questions that I had and had a great bedside manner!
I have never been more disgusted with a doctor in my life. First appointment, sat across the room, asked a few questions, said because I am unable to have an MRI, he would have to explore my brain through surgery. Second appointment, recommended that I see a oncology radiologist to have radiation put in my brain. He asked few questions, no diagnosis,no interest in answering my questions. Third appointment, left me crying in office saying I may have had stroke and have a good weekend.
I cannot say enough about Dr. Boco. He fixed a complete mess I had from a laminectomy and fusion from 2015 along with a staph infection that never healed which I received from the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. He is a very caring, confident and compassionate surgeon that I was blessed to have found! He took me on as his patient immediately and knew his plan from day one and I had all the confidence in the world in him. I am one week out of my surgery and I feel GREAT! Excellent in every way!!
Dr. Boco and his staff are top notch. Their bedside manner is something that every doctor should aspire to. Dr. Boco spent 1 1/2 hours with my wife and I. He explained the procedure in detail and answered all our questions. He cares about the welfare of his patients. I would rate his skill as a surgeon very high. My surgery went better than I expected and I am recovering very well. Many thanks to Dr. Boco and his staff! I recommend him highly!
