From the first time I went to see her to the last day of my treatment Dr Nguyen was 100% honest and dedicated to saving my life. Her and her entire team got me through the hardest year I have ever had and they did it professionally and with my best interests in mind every step of the way. Worst experience (besides being diagnosed with cancer) of my life was Dr. Nguyen being my oncologist. She actually fired me as a patient because she was given my “anonymous survey” answers. I asked in my “anonymous” email if after completion of treatment I could switch oncologists for checkup care and that. They told Dr. Nguyen and she was a complete witch to me and fired me as a patient. Thankfully I was assigned to the best oncologist after that and am so happy with all care received by new doctor. Dr. Nguyen is an outstanding doctor. She treated my mother for breast cancer and then 1 year later treated me for breast cancer. She manages to be both professional and knowledgeable, AND empathetic and comforting at all times. From the first time she examined my mother and after completing the physical exam she said, "I'm going to step out while you get dressed and then I'll come back in and we'll talk. Worst experience I've ever had with any doctor. Very pushy with a horrible bedside manner. I changed doctors and would never recommend her to anyone.
Dr. Nguyen's office staff was pretty unorganized, as well as pushy when they wanted to schedule and then get you out of the way. Throughout my treatment, I was given a few options, then when that didn't work, she out of the blue suggested a splenectomy! Without even testing to make sure that would solve the problem. Horrible bedside manner and customer service. I got a 2nd opinion, kept my spleen, and have never gone back to her. I would recommend friends and family in OKC to run from her.
She is fantastic! Very sympathetic to the reason you are there, explains everything to you. Cancer was something new to me and she guided me all the way through recovery. Takes her time with her patients and answers all questions. I would give her even more stars if they were available!
