Dr Kaplan has been my doctor going on a couple years now. She is very straightforward which some consider uncaring but she wants you to understand the facts she’s telling you. I always feel heard when I have concerns or fears which is a huge step up for me. Her staff as well as herself make me feel extremely comfortable at every appointment and I am so grateful to have them as my providers.
Both my mother and I went to her for a couple years. In that time of injury and illness, she didn't touch/examine either of us, but just wrote prescriptions. When we left her care, we had gotten to the point of calling her "Prescription Pad Kaplan." And yes, like others mentioned, her staff leaves a lot to be desired. One staff couldn't grasp the difference between "to and "from." sad.
I think these reviews were unfair and cruel. She has been my doctor for the past 7 years and has always done right by me. She doesn't sugar coat things and tells it like it is. People don't like to hear the truth sometimes, especially when they live an unhealthy life style.
All these reviews years ago....makes me feel better that it was not just me. She is very rude, condescending and all these things people have mentioned. Very unprofessional and doesn't really listen, she hasn't changed one bit. I gave up and walked out on her a couple days ago, I'm filing a grievance. Dr's are so short of hand, I'm sorry for those like me who had to endure this because there is no longer a choice.
