Boats are expensive hobbies, and someone is always all too willing to take your money and not work as hard for it as you did. That is NOT the case at Thurman’s Marine. After over a year of different mechanics guessing at problems on my Larson 274, I finally was told about Thurman's Marine. I had paid tens of thousands of dollars for other shops to wrongly guess at what my problem was. Ryan Thurman logically diagnosed my problem and fixed it. I found out the hard (and expensive) way that you get what you pay for. I was very please with my experience at Thurmans Marine. The owner was very accommodating to my schedule and was able to stay after an answer every question I had. He even answered some of the questions pertaining to my trailer which helped me as well. Service was quick.

Mr Thurman had ample opportunity to communicate and tell me that the cost of the repairs were going above the estimate. FIVE TIMES HIGHER than the estimate. The repairs are incomplete and we are out thousands. Do not hire these people if they charge by the hour! By the job?....maybe....if you dont mind C+ work quality.

Mr. Thurman was polite, but never communicated how much the labor was adding up. His quote was reasonable, but not accurate. When the work was done it was THOUSANDS of dollars! He failed to communicate with me to let me know how large the bill was growing. Almost as much as my boat is worth!! He justified it on paper, but in reality it is unjust. Quality of work?.... I give the work a C grade. The overall experience is an F. Be smart..look elsewhere.

I wish I could give ZERO stars. or even negative stars. This place is WAY WAY WAY overpriced. They mislead you on how much things will cost then drop a massive bill on you. Obviously, these people are not interested in repeat business. They want to milk you for whatever they can get the first time around. very very disappointed and angry. I Would NEVER EVER EVER recommend. Save your money, there are other folks who can do a good job and not rip you off.
