Can’t say enough about Coach Sankofa and his incredible instruction! Our son took fencing as an after school activity at his elementary school and we saw amazing growth and maturity during the semester. Coach both demands respect of the kids and returns it to them, and leads by example with focus, precision and professionalism. We are eager to continue with this great experience at Thrust, and highly recommend it to families in the area!
Coach Obi is talented, friendly, insightful and just a wonderful coach. He takes the time to get to know the kids and encourages them to take responsibility for their growth. He is very skilled and knowledgeable- couldn’t ask for a better teacher or mentor.
I really love thrust fencing. Not only did it teach me how to become better at a sport I love but it gave me a community and life lessons that will stay with me off after I've put down a saber.
