Coach Mika'il is an incredible coach and mentor to my kids. He has helped them become better athletes and improve in important areas in life such as academics and developing stronger work ethics. My kids have tried many sports in the past, but they were instantly drawn to fencing in particular because of the way Mika'il teaches them. I would definitely recommend Thrust Fencing Academy to anyone who wants their kids to succeed in fencing and in life.

My daughter's training with Coach Mika'il Sankofa has been an incredible experience. As a 3-time Olympian, his technical expertise is unmatched; additionally, he creates tailored training plans that respect my daughter's talents and physical needs. Knowledgeable, inspiring intense instructional program fostering a passion in fencing. Coach Obi meets students where they are and works to bring out the best in them- fostering a community of respect, responsibility, and growth. Coach is always willing to invest more in students who put more in, and is responsive to questions and all opportunities for students to improve. For kids just starting out, Coach allows students to borrow equipment and monthly packages to accommodate an introduction to the sport.

Can’t say enough about Coach Sankofa and his incredible instruction! Our son took fencing as an after school activity at his elementary school and we saw amazing growth and maturity during the semester. Coach both demands respect of the kids and returns it to them, and leads by example with focus, precision and professionalism. We are eager to continue with this great experience at Thrust, and highly recommend it to families in the area!
