Great place to start your recovery! The staff is amazing and the food is good too! There wasn’t a bunch of busy work homework, Just time to recover and learn more about addiction! I would go back or recommend to family and friends
My partner was a resident of this treatment center and the treatment they received from a female staff member Jessica was reprehensible. She was belittling and vindictive. I believe that anyone working in this field should be trained to treat someone in the beginning of their recovery journey with compassion and empathy. She showed neither. I am not in the program I have a niece that I rolled as a inpatient. A week ago she seems to feel really comfortable and we both agreed on how nice the staff had treated us on our first time there. Me being a recovering addict going on 40 years was very impressed to actually see such a nice astablishnent that is here in the capital of Iowa that offers help for our young and old our city doesn't offer this unless you have been in trouble with the law and court ordered.
