Horrible. Had to wait 3.5 hrs to get my reserved car, or any car. Ruined our plans. I went into the garage, where I witnessed Hertz customers being given priority being assigned returning Thrifty cars (Hertz owns Thrifty & Dollar), even when Thrifty customers had been waiting longer. For an hour they had been telling me I was "next in line" for whatever vehicle came in next, but in the garage I saw them all being "attached" to Hertz customers. WHY WOULD YOU ALLOW ME TO "RESERVE" A CAR WHEN YOU DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE A CAR???????????????? YOU'VE THROWN OUR HOLIDAY PLANS INTO CHAOS.
I should have read the reviews and went with a different rental company. We had a rental for 7 AM and they told us to sit down it would be about 10 minutes. After waiting a while I started reading reviews and found that this Thrifty is notorious for being late, overbooking and generally not being timely. Like most car rental places they try to upcharge you on everything. I would avoid renting from here unless you have time to sit and wait. Also, the “managers special” was reportedly a Dodge Ram 1500.
