On July 9, at approximately 9:30 AM, we picked up our rental car at the Thrifty counter at Anchorage Airport. Unfortunately, the customer service we received from Cody was extremely disappointing. She did not greet us, smile, or show even the most basic courtesy. Instead, she was rude, unfriendly, and unprofessional throughout the entire interaction, making us feel unwelcome as visitors. Staff is beyond incompetent and lack customer service. They do not know how to read an insurance card. Charged my debit card twice. I'm currently pending $600 return.
You cannot rent under 21. It allows you to make a reservation and the minimum age policy for thrifty is 20 years old. This specific location has its own policy that you cannot see until you go there
I booked over a month in advance. I get there and they say they only take credit card. I only do debit. Nowhere anywhere did it say that. We ended up having to go with another company that was 500$ more expensive. It’s fine if a company has that rule, but disclose it so this doesn’t happen to anyone else
