Didn’t have my car ready, was forced to uber at 2am. Then, when they finally had a car the next day they overcharged me above the quoted price. Customer service was a black hole of wild goose chases.
The worst service of any kind anywhere
Not much of a wait, friendly service, and no scummy hidden fees
There's a reason why the reviews for Thrifty / ANC are so poor. Perhaps some basic Customer Service remedial training would help? Instead, they simply respond to negative reviews with the same cut-and-paste response - "we're extremely sorry to hear about your experience at our location".
After this experience with thrifty at the Anchorage airport I am DONE. I was a loyal thrifty customer for years. They deceptively told me I had to select mandatory coverage on the rental, which was not mentioned in my original reservation. I was also not told upon selecting this that there would be an additional charge, to the tune of $125. I NEVER get additional coverage on my rental so I KNOW I did not select this extra charge.
